My stay at this hotel was mixed. While I appreciated the beautiful beachfront access and some of the cultural activities offered, the noise from the ongoing strike during my visit really impacted my enjoyment. I also encountered some disappointing service and room issues that took away from the luxurious experience I was hoping for.
Rooms

The room was smaller than expected and not well-lit, but the sound of the waves at night helped mask some of the noise from outside.
Service

While some staff were helpful, there seemed to be a lack of coordination and urgency at times, which was frustrating.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, providing direct access to the beach, which is my favorite spot in Waikiki.
Dining

My stay at the Moana Surfrider was quite enjoyable, thanks to its rich history and beautiful beachfront location. The rooms offered scenic views, but I found them a bit smaller than I expected. The dining options were good, especially the breakfasts, though they were on the expensive side. Unfortunately, I did encounter some issues with additional fees that left a sour note regarding overall value for money.

The Moana Surfrider is a picturesque hotel steeped in history with direct access to Waikiki Beach, offering beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff is incredibly accommodating, making our stay feel particularly special. However, some aspects, like the dining prices and a few maintenance issues, left us wishing for improvements. The location is fantastic for enjoying the local culture and activities.

We stayed in the tower section and had an amazing view of Diamond Head and the beach. Our room included a balcony, but faced directly into other rooms in the newer wing, which was a bit odd.

My stay at the Moana Surfrider had its highs and lows. The hotel's beach access is exceptional, and the historical charm is undeniable. However, the service was lacking during our visit, especially with the staff being overwhelmed by events and a strike. I expected more considering the price point.
Rooms

We had an ocean front room, which offered lovely views, but the air conditioning was disturbingly loud, making it hard to sleep. The overall size felt a bit cramped.
Service

The service left much to be desired; upon arrival, we were overlooked while dragging our heavy luggage ourselves, and it felt like staff were preoccupied.

I had a lovely stay, appreciating the hotel's rich history and charming character. While the staff's warmth and hospitality truly stood out, there were some noise issues that affected my overall relaxation. The dining options were solid, especially breakfast by the sea, but some areas seemed to be lacking in management, which could be improved. Overall, a beautiful spot, but a few minor inconveniences detracted from the experience.
